The English Golf Union and English Women’s Golf Association launched the Junior Golf Mark Award in 2003 as an accreditation scheme for junior friendly facilities, assessing clubs on the following three areas:
Coaching and playing
Child protection and duty of care
The Golf Mark Award is for the provision of high quality services to junior golfers in terms of coaching, child protection and equality of opportunity, enabling boys and girls of any age and ability to participate in golf.
